The Birth of Mindful Kidz
Meet Our Founder, Janice Wong
Hello, I am Janice.

I had always believed in the traditional narrative: work hard, save diligently, and someday, I would enjoy the right path to financial security. Saving was the sole lesson of my childhood.
I focused so much on putting money aside that I neglected other essential aspects of financial literacy. This narrow view ultimately limited my financial success in life.

Fortunately, my curiosity and dedication to lifelong learning have driven me to navigate the complexities of financial planning as a certified financial consultant and entrepreneur.
Being a mother of three boys, I often find myself reflecting on the lessons I want to pass down to them. I remember a time when we were at the store, and my eldest boys wanted a new laptop. Instead of simply saying yes or no, I turned it into a teaching moment. We discussed budgeting, saving up for things he truly want, and the importance of making informed choices.
Quickly, I’ve realized that the skills I develop in nurturing and guiding my boys directly translate into effective financial education. I create engaging activities that turn lessons about saving, budgeting, and investing into fun games.
Today, along with my co-founder Ian Lee, we desire for children to grow up understanding that financial literacy is not just about saving money; it's about making empowered decisions that will shape their futures. As we invest time in teaching them these vital skills, we are also nurturing their confidence and independence.
